Can I be petite and still be a corrections officer?

I am a very petite girl, but I'm studying mental health and human services. I have a lot of interest in working in a correctional facility, but I'm afraid I won't be able to handle the job because of my size. Will they laugh at me when I walk in for an interview, or can anyone do this job if they have the right mind set?
